The International Centre for Ethnic Studies (ICES) library, based in Colombo, is a central academic repository of knowledge in the social sciences. It encompasses extensive collections on ethnicity, culture, history and women’s studies. The ICES library houses an impressive collection of publications and resources in law, religion, anthropology, transitional justice, as well as works of fiction. It hosts one of the country’s most comprehensive collection’s on ethnicity and identity politics, with rare publications unavailable to scholars elsewhere in the Asian region.
